Who Qualifies For A Bursary Or Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application process.
Applications at the moment are open and can shut on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to satisfy the subsequent criteria:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who comes from a home by using a combined gross home income that doesn't exceed R350 000 per annum.
• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined residence earnings would not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and wish not post any evidence of earnings.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent residents from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.
Applicants are reminded to supply the right Id Doc numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored of their South African ID.
